Building on Faith

Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County’s mission is to build safe, affordable housing with people in our community, rooted in a desire to put God’s love into action. A Faith Build is a tangible way to live that out: you’ll work alongside future Habitat homeowners, engage the people around you, and love your neighbor in the most literal sense.

No experience is necessary, and all faith groups are welcome. We’ll teach you everything you need to know on the build site, and there’s a wide range of tasks, both indoors and outdoors, to suit all skill levels and abilities. We can also tailor the experience for your group, whether you’re bringing students, singles, or a small group with a specific focus.

Volunteering together gives your community a chance to pursue a shared goal while having fun doing it. You’ll strengthen your bonds with one another, deepen your connection to the neighborhoods around you, and help empower Habitat homeowners to build a more stable future for themselves and for the community we all share.
