Pride Build
Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County is proud to host Pride Builds throughout the year, creating space for LGBTQ+ community members and allies to come together, build homes, and build community.
At a time when stable, affordable housing remains out of reach for many, including LGBTQ+ individuals who face higher rates of housing insecurity, Pride Builds offer a way to take action, together.
These build days are about more than construction. They are about showing up for one another, creating connection, and being part of something tangible and lasting in our community.
What to Expect
You do not need any prior construction experience to participate. Just come ready to learn and be part of the day.
- Work alongside experienced Habitat site supervisors on real construction tasks
- Tasks are matched to your comfort level, with guidance provided every step of the way
- All tools, safety equipment, and training are provided
- Lunch and snacks are included
