Sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity home is a meaningful way to support affordable homeownership opportunities for local households in East Jefferson County.

At Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County, homes are built through partnership. Homebuyers contribute hundreds of hours of sweat equity and purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage, working alongside volunteers and the community to build strength, stability, and self-reliance.

House Sponsors play a critical role in making this work possible. A sponsorship of $75,000 helps cover the cost of construction materials and professional labor, including skilled trades such as plumbing and electrical work.

As a House Sponsor, you will have the opportunity to engage with the building process and see your investment at work, including:

• Opportunities to connect with Habitat homebuyers
• Participation in key build milestones and celebrations
• Sponsor recognition at the construction site
• Opportunities to volunteer alongside Habitat staff, volunteers, and homebuyers
• Recognition in Habitat communications, including newsletters, annual reports, and the organization’s website
• Invitations to Habitat events and site tours

Half House Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Or invite a group of family, friends, business colleagues, or civic association members to partner with you to provide the funds for a Habitat House Sponsorship.
