Neighborhoods
These homes are part of Habitat’s new Permanent Affordability program
Permanent affordability maximizes our community’s investment in each Habitat home by paying it forward.
Habitat homeowners purchase a home at an affordable rate. Their mortgage will not exceed 30% of their income. In exchange for affordable housing, a homeowner agrees to limit the appreciation on their home. If and when a homeowner decides to sell, they will sell at a price that should be affordable to someone else in the same economic bracket.
Landes Terrace
Ground has been broken for this thoughtfully designed 14-home neighborhood in Port Townsend. Built in the paired home style, this site furthers Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County’s effort to create affordable, connected, and community-oriented housing.
Mason Street
Mason Street will be an attractive and vibrant neighborhood, providing affordable homeownership opportunities in East Jefferson County, particularly for the local workforce. The physical design will offer a welcoming, walkable neighborhood emphasizing internal social interaction while enhancing connectivity for the surrounding community. We envision Mason Street to be a valuable addition to the broader Community offering housing solutions that support local schools and businesses, and addressing the pressing housing shortage faced in the Tri-Area.
Cliff Street Cottages
Construction of Cliff St. Cottages is underway!
Cliff St. Cottages is a six-unit neighborhood, built in a cottage style to foster community and engagement among the residents.
A key feature of the design is the preservation of mature trees that connect this property to adjacent woodlands. The property will also feature bike racks and easily accessible parking.
Landes North
Habitat Homeowners have moved into this neighborhood! There are six homes: four are 2-bedroom and two are 3-bedroom.
