Every gift helps neighbors build a foundation

Your support helps make safe, affordable housing possible here in East Jefferson County. For many in our community, stable housing remains out of reach. But when neighbors step in to help, that can change.

Construction is underway at Landes Terrace, Habitat’s largest neighborhood to date in our community.

Fourteen permanently affordable homes are in progress, creating a place where local residents can stay, grow, and put down roots. These homes are designed to:

  • Foster connection between neighbors
  • Be located near transit, schools, parks, and groceries
  • Support family wellness through energy-efficient, healthy design

Your support makes it possible for people to remain in the community they love, with stability, security, and a place to call home.

When neighbors come together to build homes, they build community. Your gift makes that possible.

    Other Ways to Give

    Give from your IRA

If you are 70.5 or older, giving from your IRA helps reduce your taxable income — and for those over 73 who must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), an IRA gift is a simple way to fulfill it!

    Give stock

Gifts of appreciated stock help build more homes for hardworking local families in our community. The IRS allows a charitable tax deduction for the full market value of the appreciated security. You can find more information here.

If you are interested in donating stock, please contact Liesl Slabaugh, Development Director, at 360-379-2827, ext. 802, or lslabaugh@habitatejc.org.

Give from your Donor Advised Fund

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes.

Donor-advised funds can easily be set up through our local Jefferson Community Foundation or your financial institution. If you already have a donor-advised fund that participates in DAF Direct, you can recommend grants to support Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County.

    Gifts-in-kind

When businesses and individuals donate construction or professional services, land or other goods, Habitat can stretch its cash donations further, which means that more people can be helped with safe, affordable housing. If you would like to donate a gift-in-kind, please call 360-379-2827.

If you have land or a house you are interested in donating, we’d love to talk with you. For more information, please contact Executive Director Jamie Maciejewski at director@habitatejc.org or 360-379-2827.
